Simon Magwaza
Game Audio Designer
Hi there,
I’m Simon Magwaza, a Game Audio Designer and Freelance Sound Engineer. Welcome to my website.
My first experiences in game audio and development date back to 2000, creating multiplayer levels in Quake 3’s Radiant editor, replacing awesome in-game gun sounds with ‘pew-pews’, and recording a friend’s next big rap album in a tent in the back yard (used Microsoft Sound Recorder).
My path since has been a winding one; I’ve lived in China, had some wild experiences and completed a practical 3yr audio diploma. Currently I am studying a BSc (Comp Sci) whilst working as a freelancer. In my spare time I like to break things, and fix them.
My primary goal at the moment is to find a position in a game development studio as a junior Audio Programmer and/or Sound Designer.
Feel free to look about my portfolio. If you have any questions or would like to get in contact, please use the contact form below, or contact me via one of the social media channels.
Take care
